Abstract

Research Summary:

The current research consists of four chapters, the first of which is concerned with the statement of the research problem, which was determined by answering the following question: What are the representations of one-dimensional imagery in the contemporary Iraqi and international graphic productions?

And the importance of research and the need for it, then the goal of the research represented in - identifying the imagery of one dimension in the contemporary Iraqi and international graphic productions.

Then the limits of research and definition of terms

  While the second chapter included two topics: the first topic: the imagery of the one dimension, approaches to the essence of art

The second topic: the concept of one dimension in plastic art

Then the indicators that ended with the theoretical framework

The third chapter included the research procedures represented in the research community, the research sample, the research tool, the research methodology, and then the analysis of the research sample amounting to 5 models of contemporary Iraqi and international graphic productions.

       As for the fourth chapter, it contained the results of the research, including:

1-The dialectic of black and white, negative and positive opposites reduces major universal truths according to the principle of one dimension based on the denial of omnipotence and transcendence of forms away from the rules of time, space and space.

2-Simplified shapes with no definite meaning evoke a feeling of flight, transcendence, and moving freely to another dimension full of transcendent spirituality over material reality, which derives its aesthetics from geometric shapes of absolute beauty, and conclusions, including:

 1- Artists believe in the impossibility of touching spiritual and absolute beauty without the spiritually-oriented intuition that It liberates the forms from the images of the external world, abolishing their spatio-temporal constraints and expressing the invisible essence

As well as recommendations and proposals, an index of research sources, and a summary of the research in English.
