The researcher wanted to elucidate the function of creative formation in ancient Iraqi murals, however most published studies focus on their history and archaeology. field

The work is essential because it gives information on a fundamental facet of Mesopotamia's artistic creativity, notably Assyrian art. Identifying references for the artistic form of Assyrian paintings.

The study's theoretical framework is separated into two sections: the artistic genesis of ancient Iraqi paintings and Assyrian murals. The researcher used descriptive analysis to determine the aesthetics of ancient Iraqi murals. She evaluated three Assyrian mural samples.

 

The Assyrian artist used art to comprehend and tame his reality. Mural painting and its elements helped convey the world about Mesopotamia's glory and magnificence. Assyrian aesthetics stand out in the plastic proportions of the body parts to the total, which was generally 1/4, which imparted molded character and dignity. In terms of dynamic relationships, the Assyrian artist excelled by depicting the movement of animals' feet and muscles, as in the shape of a lion from the movement of his muscles and embodying them in a pattern that indicates the jump and attack on the king, the movement of the king's legs also in a ratio of 1/3, which indicates stability and physical and muscular strength.
