Semantic condensation in the Iraqi theatrical text (Ansalat play as an example)

Abstract

Research Summary

The study included four chapters, the first of which was defining the research problem, which was diagnosed by the following question (What is semantic condensation in the Iraqi theatrical text?) and explaining its importance and spatial, temporal and objective limits. The researcher defined the following term (condensation) and then an operational definition of semantic condensation. The second chapter formed the theoretical framework of the study, which included two topics: the first (semantic condensation, linguistic concepts) and the second (semantic condensation in the theatrical text). The chapter concluded with the most prominent indicators that resulted from the theoretical framework. The third chapter was devoted to the research procedures by adopting the descriptive approach in the analysis, and the indicators were adopted in analyzing its sample. It concluded with the most prominent results that it reached through analyzing the sample and the conclusions, which showed semantic condensation in the theatrical text. Finally, the researcher put forward recommendations and suggestions and established a list of sources.
