Prehistoric man produced many aesthetic achievements characterized by their influence on aesthetic taste. We see the emergence of these aesthetics over a period of time, accomplished in Mesopotamia through functional work, through which humans sought to fulfill their needs.

Pottery also focused on the value of the Mesopotamian raw materials used in its manufacture as artistic tools that demonstrate technical progress and increased expertise, through the various forms used in the artwork.

To uncover this level of beauty that influences taste, the researcher sought, through this research, to "study artistic models of aesthetic value that can be appreciated in the pottery of the Samarra civilization." Therefore, the research sought to clarify the existence of a utilitarian and aesthetic function for Samarra pottery, in addition to its symbolic value, which emphasizes beauty and aesthetic taste. We see that pottery from the Samarra civilization transcends its functional role and enhances its aesthetic aspect.
