The reporting function in the Arab Islamic miniature

Abstract

Abstract of the research:

The current research (the reporting function in Islamic Arab miniature) dealt with four chapters: The first chapter contained a problem, which ended with the following question (What is the reporting function of Islamic Arab miniature)?? The research, its importance, the need for it, and the aim of the research, which aims to identify the reporting function in Islamic Arab miniature, as well as its limits and defining its most important terms.

The second chapter included the theoretical framework of the research, which included the first section, the concept of function and reporting in art. As for the second section, it dealt with the reporting function in Islamic painting.

The third chapter also included the research procedures: the research community, its sample, and the methodology in it, and the research tool, which marked the most important indicators that resulted from the theoretical framework as criteria for analyzing the sample, which amounted to (5) models.

The fourth chapter contained the research results, conclusions, recommendations and suggestions. The most important results are:

1. The reporting function of Arab-Islamic miniatures revealed social life in all its forms, as it is the container that carries the visual plastic achievement in which the Arab artist in general practiced his creativity in calligraphy, decoration, gilding and photography, as in all the sample models.

2. Islamic art was able to transfer the basic environment for the logical understanding of reporting and intellectual symbols to an artistic pictorial material for Islamic miniatures so that aesthetic awareness in it became original, not secondary, independent and without others. As in all the sample models.

The most important conclusions:

1. The connection between science and art and the spread of the art of miniatures had an effective role in the breadth and spread of scientific and literary topics.
