Abstract

This current research is concerned with the study of (the Zionist other and its representations in the Arab political poster). The research problem has dealt with the necessity of standing by describing one of the visual arts, and it is based on functional and aesthetic foundations that contribute as \ of communication in support of the Palestinian cause and its active role in showing all the killings, violence and exclusion by the Zionist other, so that it can be an image The other is available for use in all the arts, especially in the political poster, which found its active presence in consolidating the image. The poster also expresses a specific idea or topic in the image, drawings and words, since the elements in which the political poster is organized are subject to specific design treatments for the visible structural artistic elements such as line, color, shape and space. And the material is through pictures, titles and letters, which prompted the research to formulate its title as follows: (The Zionist Other and its Representations in the Arab Political Poster) Thus, the research may raise the following question: (How does the Zionist Other represent in the Arab political poster)

The current study aimed to: Get to know the Zionist other and its representations in the Arab political poster

The limits of the research were limited to the study of the Zionist Other and its representations, the Arab political poster between the years (1984-2022), and the spatial borders of the Arab world, which the researcher obtained from illustrated Arab and foreign books and the Internet, and a number of terms were defined in this study.

 While the second chapter included the theoretical framework and the resulting indicators, to contain three topics, as follows:

The first topic: the other conceptually.

The second topic: the last artistic in the global political poster

The third topic: Palestinian resistance in Arab art

The second chapter ended with indicators that benefited from the research as criteria for building the tool. While the third chapter contained the research procedures, and included the research community, the research community reached (20) works of art from various Arab artists, of which the sample was intentionally chosen, with a rate of 10% from Arab countries, amounting to (2) samples. The chapter also included the research tool, which was the content analysis tool. After obtaining the tool validity and then reliability, and after processing it statistically, it became scientifically valid for analysis. As for the fourth chapter, it included the results of the research, conclusions, recommendations, and suggestions, and among the results reached by the researcher

2-      The design of the poster adopted the direct method in communicating the idea and in employing images and written patterns. It was a clear method chosen in order to communicate the media message without linguistic, visual or ideological obstacles.
