Abstract:
This study aims to examine the role of film music in signaling the beginning, escalation, and ending of events in thriller films, with a focus on Taken Part One as a case study. The research seeks to demonstrate how music organizes the dramatic narrative, enhances psychological tension, marks event climaxes, and directs the viewer’s emotional experience. The study concludes that film music functions as a crucial semantic and psychological tool, preparing the audience for the start of events, intensifying escalation, and clearly indicating the conclusion, thereby enriching the cinematic experience effectively.
