Research Abstract
The study dealt with a comparison between the educational discourse of metaphors of mythology in children's theater between East and West through a comparison between the Iraqi children's theater and the American children's theater, so the research objective was to reveal the features of the educational discourse of mythology in children's theater between them. The problem was identified by: What are the most prominent features of the educational discourse in employing mythology between East and West in children's theater? Aiming to reveal the features of that educational discourse of mythology within the limits represented by (the educational discourse of mythology for two theatrical performances from East and West 2015_2016, the second chapter focused on mythology and types of mythology and the relationship between mythology and theater first and the educational discourse of children's theater secondly, and the research adopted the descriptive analytical approach, as for the sample, it was the play (Alice in Wonderland) directed by (Hussein Ali Saleh) and the play (Disneys Aladdin) directed by (Wilsie Yvonne), to show the most prominent results, including: (Most of the types of educational discourse employed in mythology in the Iraqi and Western performances were inclined towards dialogue with a strong presence being a feature of children's theater. As well as the alternation of the power of the presence of contemplative and directed discourse in the Western show equally.
