Abstract

Abstract

          The current research addresses cultural privacy in the works of Iraqi female potters. This study focuses on the intellectual and cultural values ​​in the works of Iraqi female potters. The research comprises four chapters. The first chapter addresses the research methodology, which addresses the research problem: What are the representations of cultural privacy in Iraqi ceramics? The research objective is to identify the representations of cultural privacy in Iraqi ceramics. The second chapter covers the theoretical framework and previous studies. It includes two sections: The first section addresses cultural privacy, the concept and terminology, while the second section addresses contemporary Iraqi female potters (style and technique). The third chapter addresses the research procedure, which includes the research community, the research sample, the research tool, and the research methodology. The fourth chapter includes the research findings, the most important of which are:

1.      Cultural specificity was manifested through the simultaneous intermingling of social and religious concepts in the construction of the ceramic text, forming a unified whole in representing the objective aspect of the ceramic text.

Conclusions

1.    Mesopotamian and Islamic historical references played an effective role in representing cultural specificity.
