The Diversity of Contemporary Iraqi Aesthetic Experiences in the Diaspora

Abstract

-     Abstract:

The research entitled (Diversity of Contemporary Iraqi Aesthetic Experiences Abroad) Studying artworks that follow nature and unconventional techniques.. It came in four chapters; the first chapter (methodological) contained the questions of the research problem (What is the diversity of contemporary experiences in the diaspora?); The aim of the research is to identify the diversity of contemporary experiences in the diaspora, and the objective boundaries are to address contemporary artworks by Iraqi diaspora artists executed with different materials and methods to simulate different topics, and the time (2003-2024) AD, and the place is the countries of Europe and America, and the definition of research terms.

The second chapter contained (the theoretical framework) and was divided into two sections; the first section (the concept of diversity in art philosophically) and the second section (contemporary experiences in the diaspora).

The third chapter (research procedures) dealt with the research community, its sample of (3) models, its methodology and sample analysis.

While the fourth chapter included the results and conclusions, the most prominent results reached by the research are:

1. The artist's alienation and migration had a great impact on his artistic experience, nourishing his concepts and symbols to reshape the concept of homeland, with different formulations. 2. The artist employed technology by employing video art within an installation artwork to emphasize in his works the real and virtual conflict. As for the conclusions, the most important of them are: 1. The experiences of expatriate artists show richness and diversity in expression, so that the experience of alienation overlaps with the challenges of life, making him in a constant search for renewal and innovation.
