Abstract: The current research topic addresses "psychological burden and its representations in modern European art." The current research consists of two chapters. The first chapter is devoted to explaining the research problem, its importance, need for it, its objective, and its limits, then defining the terms used within it. The current research problem concludes with the following question: What is psychological burden and its representations in modern European art? The research aims to identify representations of psychological burden in modern European art. The researcher followed a descriptive and analytical approach. The research boundaries included spatial boundaries (Europe), temporal boundaries (1930-1951), and thematic boundaries (oil paintings. The second chapter includes two sections. The first section is devoted to the development of the concept of psychological burden, while the second section addresses only modern European art. Chapter Three included the research community, the research sample, the research methodology, and the analysis of the models. Among the most important findings of the research: 1- Many recent studies have explored strategies that enable individuals to confront burdens rather than escape them, thus connecting this personality to reality and the surrounding environment. 2- The artwork can be considered an abstract artistic expression that explores the world of the bean and its inner meanings in an unconventional and simple manner that conveys profound expression. 3- It carries connotations and meanings related to the psychological state of children. 4- It raises questions about the concept of aesthetics in children's art and modern art. Then, the most important conclusions reached by the research: 1- The artist uses a simplified cubist style that aims to represent the child's view of the world and the things around them by focusing on basic shapes and neglecting complex details. 2- Psychological burden poses a real threat to an individual's life as it affects thinking, behavior, social relationships, and reduces the ability to concentrate and make decisions.Downloads
