Aesthetic transparency in the works of artist Brigitte Riley

Research Summary :
Art is an expressive language through which the artist tries to show his feelings and ideas through the study of color, as this study directly affected visual art. The current research is a study of (the aesthetic of transparency in the works of the artist Brigitte Riley) and it falls into four chapters. ) and the importance of research and the need for it and its goal in identifying the aesthetic of transparency in the works of the artist Brigitte Riley. And its borders that were defined between 1964) - (2000) and identifying the most important terms contained therein. The second chapter included the theoretical framework, which contained two topics, the first: the illusion of color and its transparency in visual art. The second topic was the interaction of color transparency in the works of artist Brigitte Riley, then indicators and previous studies. The third chapter dealt with the research procedures, which include defining the research community consisting of 35 samples, the research tool, the research methodology, and sample analysis. While the fourth chapter included the results of the research as well as a set of conclusions as well as recommendations and proposals, and among the results that were reached are:
- The works of (Brigitte Riley) were characterized by the beauty of their shapes, geometric lines, and the transparency of their colors, which highlight the mutual relationship between them and the aesthetic effect.
- The colors that Riley used in her paintings were distributed between transparent and dark colors, using contrast, contrast, and gradient. The system of dark colors with light colors achieves transparency.
The most important conclusions reached are:
- The geometric shapes contribute to the regularity of the shapes in the artwork. As for the colors, their contrasts highlight the aesthetic.
- Transparency is evident from the color gradient that organizes mixing and color overlap in an artistic way to express Reality and illusion.
