Abstract

Research Summary

The research focused on studying (aesthetics of visual formation in the works of Ghassan Ghaeb), through researching the meanings of visual formations from an aesthetic point of view, according to the criteria and foundations through which beauty appears in the artist's works intellectually, visually and objectively to see the artwork.

The current research includes four chapters, including the first chapter: (the general framework of the research) The problem of the research centered in the following question: What are the aesthetic values from which visual formation is based in the works of Ghassan Ghaeeb? . While the importance of the research was manifested as it studies the aesthetics of visual formation in the works of Ghassan Ghayeb and clarifying that relationship that connects art with his ideas in general and how to adapt the scientific and technical material in the structure of the artwork, then the goal of the research that deals with identifying the aesthetics of visual formation in the works of Ghassan Ghayeb. As for its limitations, it was limited to time (1985_ 2020 ), and spatially (Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Britain, America, other countries), and objectively, it includes the study of visual formation in the works of Ghassan Ghaib, and the chapter concludes with the definition of terms.

The second chapter included: (Theoretical framework and previous studies), two topics, the first topic concerned with studying the aesthetic structures of visual composition and its basic elements, and the second topic concerned with studying the formal and technical diversity in the works of Ghassan Ghaib, and the chapter concluded with the indicators that resulted from the theoretical framework and previous studies.

The third chapter included : (research procedures), which included defining the research community according to the temporal and spatial limits, while the research sample included (4) selected technical models,which were classified as a three-stage of time:  ( 1985– 2000 ) ، ( 2000 - 2010) ، ( 2010 – 2020 ) was classified according to the chronological sequence, where the research sample was intentionally chosen, while the research tool was adopted by the researcher through the indicators that resulted in the framework Theoretical, then research methodology and sample analysis.

  As for the fourth chapter, it included the results, conclusions, recommendations, and proposals. Among the most important findings of the research objective:

1- The compositions of the artist’s artworks adopted the method of repetition and the aesthetics of the artistic formation in their subjects, to go towards making the surface and technical treatment of the formation the goal and the main subject as a method of presenting the plastic achievement.

2- The technical formulations had an effective and influential role in the processes of forming the artistic achievement of contemporary visual formation in the works of the artist Ghassan Ghaeb.

3- The diversity of the plastic and visual formulations of the artworks in the works of the artist Ghassan Ghaib in terms of the external appearance of the shape, color and texture. The research ended with a list of sources, references, and research appendices.
