This research came to study the experience of one of the most important playwrights in the avant-garde theater, the expatriate Lebanese writer (George Shehadeh), who was distinguished by the unique diversity in his artistic methods, as well as in the way of his dramatic treatments that instilled the authentic human spirit in the theatrical text. This included The research is divided into four chapters. The first chapter includes the research problem, which was determined by the following questions: What are the intellectual and aesthetic visions proposed by George Shehadeh in his theatrical texts? How did Shehadeh deal with his social and political issues and describe them theatrically through his poetic language? This chapter also included the importance of the research in that it sheds light on the intellectual and aesthetic visions in the theatrical text, as well as defining the goal behind conducting this research, which focuses on identifying the intellectual and aesthetic visions in George Shehadeh’s theatrical texts and defining it with temporal, spatial and objective boundaries, in addition to linguistic and idiomatic definitions. And procedural and contained in the title of the research, and the second chapter included two sections, where the first topic dealt with intellectual and aesthetic visions philosophically, and the second topic dealt with intellectual and aesthetic visions and their manifestations in the theatrical text. Distributed between identifying the research community, which consisted of seven theatrical texts by the writer George Shehadeh, from which the research sample was extracted, which was represented in the play (The Brisbane Immigrant) in an intentional manner and based on the descriptive analytical approach in analyzing the research sample and on the indicators that resulted from the theoretical framework as a tool for analysis. The fourth chapter deals with the inclusion of the results and conclusions reached by the study in this research It ends with a list of sources and references.
