Abstract
The two researchers were interested in studying the concept of love in contemporary Iraqi painting, as the researchers divided the subject of their research into four chapters. As for the limits of the research, it was represented by the spatial borders (Iraq), while its temporal borders extend for the period (1956-1900 AD) within the objective limits that include contemporary Iraqi art works produced and displayed, and others, which included (art galleries, public holdings, museums, electronic information network, magazines, newspapers) The chapter concluded with the definition of procedural terms and definitions. As for the second chapter, it was divided into three sections. The first topic concerned me with studying (the concept of love philosophically), while the second topic dealt with me (the concept of love in art), while the third topic specialized in studying (love in contemporary Iraqi plastic art), then the indicators that resulted in the theoretical framework, The second chapter concluded with previous studies.
While the third chapter included: First / research procedures, which contained the following:
1- The research community 2- Determining the sample 3- The research methodology 4- The research tool. Second: Sample analysis.
As for the fourth chapter, it included 1- The results of the research, and the most important results were 1- Each element in the artwork has a cognitive concept whose representations are formulated in the expressive or aesthetic meaning of feelings, sensations and adoration. The origin (homeland, nostalgia, passion, popular song) 2- As for the conclusions of the research, the most important of which was 1- Most contemporary Iraqi artists used the forms represented in love to illustrate the festivity in the artwork, so the artist relied on painting with colors that suggest joy, and the other used dark colors as an expression of the festivity in forms movements or events Recommendations 4- Suggestions. The fourth chapter included a list of sources, references and appendices, and concluded with a summary in English.
