Abstract

Research Summary

Many scientific studies in the field of performing arts have tried to find approaches between this art, science and other philosophies in order to reach new forms and contents that correspond to the renewed data in all walks of life, so they became between theatrical art, philosophy, aesthetics, linguistics, physics ... However, the process of analyzing performances in terms of performance and techniques remained subject to the vision, mood, culture and experiences of artists and researchers, so this research was an attempt to find a new method to analyze the performance of the theater actor according to the morphological approach of the Russian (Vladimir Propp) that he developed to analyze the strange and fairy tales, which the researcher sees as the possibility of benefiting from it in analyzing the performance of the actor, so the problem was the following question (Can the morphological approach of Propp be adopted in the analysis of the performance of the theater actor)

The study came in four chapters, the first chapter contained the problem and the goal that was determined in the possibility of benefiting from this approach in the analysis of theatrical performance, and also proved the importance of research and its limits and definition of the terms contained in the title, namely morphology and hypotheses of the show.

The second chapter (theoretical framework) was based on two sections, the first entitled Morphology - the science of the study of forms, and

was dealt with on two sections, the first - morphology, roots and concepts, and the second the foundations of morphological analysis at (Vladimir Propp). The second section dealt with the hypotheses of presentation and their relationship to performance and the chapter ended with the installation of the most important indicators resulting from the theoretical framework

In the third chapter, the researcher chose two scenes from the two plays (Al-Mutanabbi - Ibrahim Jalal), which were built according to the theory of the epic theater (Lebrecht) and the other play (The Cobbler - by Aqeel Mahdi), which was built according to the mang or method (Stanislavsky) and analyzed according to the vision of the researcher and his approaches to the morphological method.

In the fourth chapter, the researcher discussed the most important results and their compatibility with the indicators, and concluded the research with a list of sources and references and a summary of the research in English.
