Reading the visual text in contemporary art - a critical study

Abstract

       he research tagged in observing and investigating the concept Reading the visual text in contemporary art - a critical study ) order to reveal the mechanisms and rules of the concepts of reading and the act of reading response and how to decode the visual text in the artistic field, and in particular the stations of contemporary art, the research included four chapters, the first chapter was devoted to clarifying the research problem, which resulted in the following questions: Is there an intellectual system to understand the reading of the pictorial surface of the contemporary artist? What can be observed from the transformations in the stations of contemporary art at the level of structural, formal and technical patterns? Does reading the visual text represent an identification between the text and the reader, or is there a similarity between reading, the text and the artist? As for the second chapter, it included two sections dealing with the first topic: reading the text and the reader’s response and the act of reading, while the second topic concerned me: contemporary art between reading and responding - reading in some art stations. The sample forms (4) four visual texts, and the treatments for the research management and analysis of the sample samples were reviewed, while the fourth chapter was concerned with the research results, discussion and conclusion
