Abstract:
The research included four chapters. The first chapter contained the research problem that was determined by the following question: Was color used in the visual excitement of the impressionist and post-impressionist artistic achievement? The importance of the research included the following: - The current research shows the experience of one of the most important schools of modern painting and its relationship to the visual aspect in its artistic achievements. - The current research is useful to specialists in studying this type of research, especially the relevant institutions and students with specialization in the field of art history. As for the aim of the research, the current research aims at the following: Know the role of the visual excitement of color in the artistic achievement of the Impressionist and Post-Impressionist schools. The temporal and spatial boundaries: 1874-1910 AD - Europe. As for the fourth chapter, it included the results of the research, including: 1- The Impressionist painter in Impressionism and Post-Impressionism transcended all the mechanisms and artistic values that prevailed in the past with intellectual, artistic and scientific openness through his dealings with colors, especially the colors of nature and with a new technique. 2- The painter considered that color and its analysis is an expression of conscience, feelings, imagination and emotion, and here the perceptions of mind and sight had an important role in the completion of the Impressionist and Post-Impressionist artwork. Among the conclusions: 1- The drawings of Impressionism and Post-Impressionism included all natural forms of landscapes, people and other formations, where the focus was on work through color and not form, especially in the drawings that were in the first stage of the birth of Impressionism. 2- The scientific and technical discoveries in the field of colors had a great impact on the mechanism of work of Impressionism and Post-Impressionism clearly, especially the cognitive and aesthetic aspect and keeping pace with those developments. Among the recommendations:- The current research may benefit the specialized students of primary studies, so the study of color should be one of the vocabulary of the study curricula in the preparatory school.
