(Types and lyrical forms in the works of the Iraqi Chanting Ensemble)

Abstract

The establishment of the Iraqi Singing Ensemble came to perform many singing colors as well as to revive the Iraqi heritage in its various colors. At the beginning of its founding, the band began to pay attention to developing the Iraqi heritage song and redistributing it in a modern artistic style, and accordingly it implemented a large number of artworks from Iraqi heritage songs in a new style and distribution.                                                                                                             

The band performed several types of artwork, and each type had a group of works, and the types identified by the researcher for the band are:                                    

1. (Al-Muwashahat): After searching, the researcher found (29) of the muwashshahat that the band sang as in Table No. (1). the researcher chooses from among them two muwashshahs, and inserted their words as in Appendix (A).
2. The traditional song: The researcher counted (81) of the traditional songs performed by the band as in Table No. (2), from which he chose five songs and included their words in Appendix (B).
3. Religious supplication: The researcher found (7) of the religious supplications performed by the band as in Table No. (3). the researcher chose one supplication from them and entered its words as in Appendix (C).
4. The songs: the researcher chose (10) of the songs performed by the band as in Table No. (4), from which the researcher chose one song to include his words as in Appendix (D).
