The aesthetics of composition for calligraphy and decoration on leather in the work of Talib Al-Azzawi
Abstract
The research tagged with the aesthetics of composition in calligraphy and ornamental works on leather (Talib Al-Azzawi as a model) included four chapters. The first chapter dealt with the research problem, from which we came out with the following question: What are the aesthetics of composition in the works of calligraphy and decoration on leather in the works of the artist Talib Al-Azzawi? The importance of the research, which is reflected in the following: 1- It is an addition to the scientific libraries that are concerned with the study of Arabic calligraphy and Islamic decoration through composition. 2- Getting to know one of the pioneers in the art of decoration and Arabic calligraphy at the global level. 3- This research is an academic scientific study in the aesthetics of training on leather in the work of Professor Talib Al-Azzawi. The aim of the research is to identify the aesthetic composition in the calligraphy and ornamentation works of the artist Talib Al-Azzawi. And then defining the search terms, and the second chapter represented the theoretical framework, which included two chapters. The first topic talked about beauty and the aesthetics of composition, and Arabic calligraphy, and the second topic talked about the life of the artist, Talib Al-Azzawi and his most important works on leather and what resulted from the theoretical framework, and the third chapter dealt with the research procedures of methodology. The research, the research community, the research sample, the research tool, and then the analysis of the samples. The fourth chapter came with the results of the research, among which was the benefit of the linear composition in highlighting a new aesthetic aspect, and then the conclusions and recommendations.
