Summary:
The research entitled: (Functional overlap and its adaptive repercussions in interior spaces - small houses as an example) dealt with the topic of cases of functional overlap in the design of small-sized interior spaces and methods of adapting them to include more functions than the functions specified for them according to their areas and boundaries.
The research included four chapters. The first chapter included the research problem, which was defined as: How can functional nesting fulfill the function required of it in an adaptive manner in the spaces of small homes? Its importance was identified in: contributing to studying the idea of functional overlap in the interior spaces of small homes. Its goal was to reveal the role of functional overlap and adaptation mechanisms in the spaces of small homes. As for the second chapter, it consisted of two sections. The first section included the title: Functional overlap in design, while the second section was titled: Adaptation in small interior spaces, after which the indicators of the theoretical framework were presented. In the third chapter, in which the methodological research procedures were presented, it included the research methodology, the research population, the research sample, the research tools, and the validity and reliability of the tool, after which the selected sample was described and analyzed.
The fourth chapter includes the results and conclusions of the research, sources and references.
