Abstract

Research Summary:

The research included four chapters, the first chapter explaining the problem of the research, its importance and need for it, the goal of the research, its limits, and defining the most important terms contained in it. The research problem was defined by answering the following question: Is it possible to analyze depictions of the prophets in the art of Islamic manuscripts and reveal the symbols and meanings contained in them? What are the manuscripts that contained pictures of the prophets on their pages?

The second chapter was concerned with the theoretical framework, as it included two sections, the first section (Islamic art, Islamic schools of photography.

The second section (names of some manuscripts that contained pictures of the prophets, scenes of religious preaching.

The third chapter included the research procedures, which are the research population, the research sample, the research tool, the research methodology, and analysis of the research sample.

As for the fourth chapter, it includes the research results, conclusions, recommendations, and proposals, and among these results and conclusions we will mention.

1_ Pictures contribute to providing a means of religious communication and conveying religious messages visually, which enhances understanding and spiritual influence.

2_ Islamic art is an important source for expressing religious and spiritual meanings. Images of the prophets represent an important part of this expression. Therefore, the Muslim photographer was interested in introducing these religious themes, including religious stories, biographies, and arousing feelings with what is sacred, preaching, lessons, intimidation with fire, and encouragement.
