Abstract

Abstract :

The current research consists of four chapters, the first of which is concerned with the statement of the research problem, which was determined by answering the following question: What are the dimensions of the concept of horsemanship and its representations in the productions of the art of lithographs by the sculptor Marino Marini?

And the importance of research and the need for it, then the research goal represented in - identifying the concept of horsemanship and its representations in the productions of the art of lithography by the artist Marino Marini .

Then the limits of research 1955-1980 and definition of terms, while the second chapter included two sections;

The first topic: chivalry and its representations in art throughout history.

The second topic: the concept of horsemanship in the art of the sculptor Marino Marini, then the indicators that the theoretical framework concluded with, and the third chapter included the research procedures represented in the research community, the research sample, the research tool, the research methodology, and then the analysis of the research sample amounting to (5) models of printing products Stoneware by artist Marino Marini

    As for the fourth chapter, it contained the results of the research, including;

  • The artist defines the shapes in the print with precise outlines, and defines the horse with thick black lines to express the emotional separation between him and the rider, while others try to reconcile them .
  • There is a strong struggle between the rider and the horse, which turned into a bizarre two-headed object to express hidden concerns that confirm the separation between the two entities in the era of modernity and the deterioration of their close relationship since ages.

Conclusions;

  • The artist deals with his subjects with a lot of reduction and abstraction to give his works an expressive power that reflects the feeling of alienation as a feature of the era of modernity. As well as recommendations and proposals, an index of research sources, and a summary of the research in English.
