Research Summary
This research is concerned with studying (the transformations of the political image in European painting) and includes four chapters:
The first chapter was devoted to: clarifying (the research problem - the importance of the research and the need for it - the goal of the research - the limits of the research - identifying and defining terms). The research problem was summarized in answering the following question: (What are the transformations of the political image in European painting).
The importance of the research was evident in the fact that it benefits those interested in the plastic art movement in general by reviewing the results and conclusions of the research.
The researcher found that there is a necessary need for this study, which is that the subject has not been studied in such detail, and to provide scientific material that meets the needs of Iraqi libraries.
The research has a comprehensive goal: identifying the transformations of the political image in European painting. As for the limits of the research, they may be determined by studying the transformations of the political image in European painting.
The second chapter included the theoretical framework, previous studies and their discussion, and the second chapter dealt with three topics: the first topic: the concept of politics, the second topic: the concept of the image and its structural elements in drawing, and the third topic: European drawing. The chapter also included the indicators that the framework concluded. Theoretical and previous studies. The fourth chapter included the research results, conclusions, recommendations, and proposals. Among the results reached by the research results
- Political transformations affected the images of European people’s suffering from the horrific scenes of the war that they lived and shared in its tragedies, scenes of the dead and wounded and their painful suffering, scenes of fear and terror, pain and tragedy, which became the subjects of their oil paintings and prints. Human forms appeared, expressing the emotional instinct that was clear, including the contents of feelings. I appeared.
- The life instinct was represented by positive aspects of the political image that appeared in various topics, religiosity, achieving values, human rights and dignity, and freedom.
Conclusions
- Technology, mechanics and alienation; Its influence appeared in Cubism and Surrealism, and the concepts of “inhumanity” or inhumanity, and dispensing with the human standard, also affected these artistic styles. Trends of sarcasm, free play, formalism, ugliness, distortion, and aggression were widespread in modern art.
- Things that witnessed further development in the humanity of modernity, where they were distinguished; With the crystallization of the social and human sciences, the discovery of the diversity and pluralism of cultures, and the exploitation of this in the development of society, and its adherence to freedom was its approach to producing new knowledge, new facts, and new art as a strong reaction to the ideologies brought by modernity.
