Summary:
This research, titled The Human Figure and Its Reductions in Drawing by Ahmed Muzahim as a Model, is concerned with studying the human form in drawing. It consists of four chapters. The first chapter, represented by the methodological framework, came with the research problem that we addressed by asking a question: What is the human form and its reductions in contemporary Iraq? Its importance came from the fact that it is an academic study. It sheds light on the human form and its reductions in drawing and defines the terms mentioned in the research. The second chapter was represented by the theoretical framework as a study with three sections, the first of which dealt with the human form in ancient art and the human form in art recently. The second section dealt with the concept of reduction and reduction in drawing, and the third section dealt with Ahmed Muzahim. The artist, the human being, and his artistic style, along with coming up with indicators for this theoretical framework. The third chapter represented the research procedures, which included (30) paintings, with the selection of three paintings in an intentional manner for the purpose of study and analysis according to the descriptive analytical method with the research tool, in order to achieve the research goal, which is knowing the human form and its reductions. The fourth chapter included the results, conclusions, recommendations and proposals. The following are the most important results reached by the researcher:
1- The human form, especially the man, is strongly present in Ahmed Muzahim’s works, as in Model (1, 2, 3).
2- The presence of the woman’s body in his works, as in Model No.1
