Innovation and metaphor in contemporary international plastic art

Abstract

The concepts of innovation and borrowing are among the concepts that have taken up space in plastic art by presenting new forms that were not previously familiar or borrowed forms that were employed in works of art. We will try to reveal them in the current research, which consists of four chapters. In the first chapter, the researcher presented the research problem, which was represented by the following questions: :

What innovations have appeared in contemporary global plastic art?

What are the metaphors employed by contemporary global plastic art?

Then came the importance of research and the need for it, as the current research is important because it studies the phenomenon of innovation and metaphor in contemporary international plastic art. In order for the researcher to reach his goal, he set a goal for the research, which is to reveal innovation and metaphor in contemporary international plastic art. The researcher defined the limits of the research, so the objective boundaries were the artistic works that show innovation and metaphor in contemporary global plastic art, the spatial boundaries in Europe and America, and the temporal boundaries from 1939 to 2018. The researcher also defined the terms mentioned in the title linguistically, philosophically and procedurally. As for the theoretical framework, the second chapter, the researcher divided it into two sections:

The first topic: innovation in thought and art

The second topic: metaphor and its representations in global formation

The second topic: metaphor and its representations in global formation

As for the third, procedural chapter, the researcher dealt with the research community, the selection of the research sample and the research tool, and the researcher adopted the descriptive analytical approach in analyzing the research sample. Then the researcher analyzed the samples. In the fourth chapter, the researcher came out with some results, conclusions, recommendations and proposals.
