Abstract

Research Summary

The current research included (the aesthetics of contemporary art in light of digital technology), which included investigating the concept of digital technology, and revealing the aesthetics of contemporary art through technical and technological progress, which affected most contemporary arts. The research included four chapters, the first chapter was concerned with the methodological framework of the research, represented by With the research problem that was formulated according to the following question: (What are the aesthetics of contemporary art in light of digital technology?) The aim of the research is to know (the aesthetics of contemporary art in light of digital technology), the importance of research and the need for it, and the limits of the research represented by the objective limits that are concerned with studying the aesthetics of contemporary art in light of Developments in digital technology in digital sculpture art, holographic art, digital mural art) for the period (1985-2002) in Europe and the United States of America... Then comes the definition of terminology. As for the second chapter (theoretical framework), it included two sections, the first of which (digital technology between concept and application), and the second (contemporary arts and digital technology). Then comes the third chapter (research procedures), in which the researcher reviewed the framework of the research community, which numbered (30) digital artistic works and the research sample, which numbered (4) in an intentional manner, the research tool, the research methodology, and the analysis of the research sample model. The fourth chapter included the research results, conclusions, recommendations and proposals. The most important results reached by the researcher are as follows:

1. Digital works were characterized by the recipient’s effectiveness with the work space, movement, and space, which created openness to various digital technologies, as in sample model No. (1, 2, 3).
2. Digital arts were characterized by the homogeneity of electronic technologies, especially the technology of combination and assembly, as in sample model No. (2, 3).

Among the most important conclusions:

1. The world has turned to digital art because of its marketing and consumer importance in the field of advertising, trade, and product marketing.
