Racial discrimination and its religious representations in contemporary art

Abstract

The research entitled (Racial discrimination and its religious representations in contemporary art) consists of four chapters:  The first chapter was devoted to the methodological framework of the research, and the research problem ended with the following question: What are the religious dimensions of racial discrimination?  What are the repercussions of racial discrimination in contemporary Iraqi art works?  How was racial discrimination reflected in the achievements of contemporary art?  It included the purpose of the research, its importance, and the need for it.  As for the second chapter, it contains two sections. The first was titled The Religious Dimensions of Racial Discrimination, while the second dealt with: The repercussions of racial discrimination in contemporary Iraqi art, while the third chapter was devoted to research procedures. The two researchers chose (3) models as samples in an intentional manner from the achievements of contemporary art, and the samples were analyzed using  The descriptive analytical approach, as for the research tool, and to achieve the research goal, the two researchers built a tool for analyzing the artists’ works based on the indicators of the theoretical framework, literature, and previous studies in building their research tool. As for the fourth chapter, it was devoted to the results and conclusions of the research, from which the religious dimension of racial discrimination through genocide appeared.  Collectivism, intolerance, prejudice, sectarianism, religious cleansing, inequality. As in sample No. (1), the religious dimension of racial discrimination appeared through exclusion and marginalization, inequality, religious and ethnic cleansing, distortion of religious texts, religious extremism, forced displacement, spiritual alienation.  And spatial, as in sample No. (2) and (3). The research ended with research references, a list of sources and references, and then appendices
