Abstract

Abstract:

     The research entitled (The Articulations of the World Vision in Makki Omran’s Paintings) is concerned with the extent to which Makki Omran’s Paintings are dependent and related to the concept of the Goldmann world view, the research includes four chapters; the first chapter (Methodological) tackles the question regarding the problem of the research (What are the Articulations of the World Vision in Makki Omran’s Paintings?), and the goal of the research is to identify these articulations; the boundaries of the topic are: discussing the painter’s visual products in which he invested the cognitive and cultural awareness of the world vision concept, his artworks which are delivered through various techniques and materials, his achieved works in the period (2005 – 2024) in Iraq and defining the research terminology.

The second chapter (Theoretical Framework) includes the first topic (the essential nature of the Goldmann world) and the second topic (visual and intellectual stimulants in Makki Omran’s experience), and the chapter ended with the indicators of the theoretical framework.

The third chapter (Procedures) tackles the research population and its sample of (3) paintings in addition to its tool, approach and sample analysis.

The fourth chapter discusses the results, and the most significant ones are: 1- the depth of Makki Omran’s visual experience and the articulations of the vision of the world with all its human existence and cultural incubators through familiar visual patterns constituted by the noticeable marks and symbols which enhance the visual message through their significance and aesthetics, 2- the articulations of the vision of the world and their manifestations in Makki Omran’s paintings are based on the communal awareness of existence through the interaction of the overlapped worlds through colors and figures in the artworks, which leads to an increased artistic and aesthetic impact.

The most significant conclusions are: 1- the visual experience ensured that the articulations of the vision of the world is based on the fusion of the painter’s entity with the community he represents and the human nature as a whole throughout the history, and also based on his social and intellectual existence and his familiarity with the events experienced in human societies.
