Abstract

Abstract :

The current research included four chapters, including the first chapter of the research, which begins with the research problem represented by the following question: (What is anarchism in contemporary Iraqi theatrical performance?) While the researcher defined the importance of the research and the need for it as follows: The attempt to find standards between anarchism as a philosophical concept and theater as an aesthetic artistic concept. The current research aims to identify (to define anarchism in contemporary Iraqi theatrical discourse) and then conclude the first chapter by defining the terms and the procedural definition of anarchism.

The second chapter (the theoretical framework) of the research includes two sections, the first of which: anarchism’s origins and concept. The second section was titled: Anarchism in the international theatrical discourse. The chapter concluded with indicators of the theoretical framework. As for the third chapter (research procedures), it included the research community and the research sample that the researcher chose in a purposive way, as he presented a play by director Abbas Rahak (Red Line) in 2018. As for the research methodology, the researcher relied on the descriptive (analytical) method because it was close to the research mechanism. As for the research tool with which the chapter concluded, the researcher relied on the indicators of the theoretical framework, while the fourth chapter included the results and conclusions, then a list of sources and references.
