Abstract:
The theatrical art contains inside its contents and essence movable intellectual and cultural limit that picks subjects which clarify political and social subjects in the horizon public spaces and their philosophy in applying public ideas that pertain society and humanity to create the concept of patriotic citizenship and whole humanity and looking ahead open horizons in front of the processing and discus the political reality via dissembling the relation between the public and the private, the individual, society and political authority. And the development of the social process and cultural dialectic to achieve the national human self in the contexts of freedom and the integration of citizenship. The research problem embodied with the following question: What is the role of the philosophy of public space and the formation of good citizenship in the contemporary Iraqi theatrical text?
The research tackled with studying public space through two topics:
- The philosophy of public space, concept and origin.
- The philosophy of public space and the formation of citizenship in the global and Arab theatrical text.
The research community included five theatrical texts for the period (2011 - 2020 AD). The play "The Twenty-Fifth Train" was chosen as an analytical sample for the research to extract the most important results:
- The philosophy of public space is a cultural, intellectual, societal system and a moving cultural communication tool to obtain the rights of patriotic citizenship.
- The political theme was reflected in the dramatic intellectual structure of the play, where wars were rejected, which put societies in the face of humanitarian crises, undermine identities, and disassemble the values of good citizenship.
While the most important conclusions are:
- The philosophy of public space draws the lines of community education to highlight the importance of patriotic citizenship with all rights for all members of society.
