Abstract of the research:
The current research dealt with the of monologue and the of personal soliloquy in contemporary Iraqi theatrical discourse The research consists of four chapters. The first chapter addresses the research problem, which is defined by the following question: What is monologue and soliloquy? And how were they formed narratively and subjectively in contemporary Iraqi theatrical? discourse the importance of the current research lies in highlighting the narrative of monologue and the subjectivity of soliloquy in Iraqi theatrical discourse as one of the elements of the play, and as a verbal and visual tool on the stage The aim of the research is to identify the narrative of monologue and the subjectivity of the character’s soliloquy in contemporary Iraqi theatrical discourse. The research is spatially defined in Iraq and temporally in 2014 Objectively, the narrative of the monologue and the subjective soliloquy of the character in contemporary Iraqi theatrical discourse (A Lover at Home Time), in addition to the terminological and procedural definitions included in the research The second chapter comprised three sections: the first addressed monologue and soliloquies conceptually, the second examined the narrative of monologue in global theatrical discourse, and the third explored the subjectivity of soliloquies in global theatrical discourse The chapter then concluded with the indicators resulting from the theoretical framework. Chapter three included the research population and sample, and used the indicators of the theoretical framework as a tool for analyzing the sample. Chapter four contained the results, the most important of which are:
- The monologue was able to raise negative issues in society through its social and political arguments that worked to criticize and reform society.
- The monologue is presented in the form of a soliloquy and dramatic dialogue with two different voices, one being the main external voice and the other the internal voice that he presents to others.
