Stylistic diversity in Kamel Al-Sheikh’s works

Abstract

Research Summary   

     This research is concerned with studying (the stylistic diversity in the works of Kamel Al-Sheikh)... It is divided into four chapters. The first chapter is devoted to clarifying the problem of the research, its importance, the need for it, its goal, and its limits, and defining the most important terms contained in it. The research problem dealt with the subject of stylistic diversity in the works of the artist Kamel Al-Sheikh, in presenting the diversity of styles in Iraq as well as modern European art, which took a clear place in the styles of Iraqi painters, up to the experience of the artist (Kamel Al-Sheikh), and from here arose the problem of the current research in answering the question. The following:What is the effect of stylistic diversity in the works of artist Kamel Al-Sheikh?       (The second chapter) contained the theoretical framework, represented by three sections: (The first section) dealt with the concept of stylistics in terms of its origin and its essence. (The second section) included the stylistic diversity in modern European painting. (The third section) included stylistic references in contemporary Iraqi painting. Which dealt with the most prominent styles of contemporary Iraqi artists, including the experience of the artist (Kamel Al-Sheikh).       (Chapter Three) included the research procedures: the research population was (25) artistic works, the research sample was (5) models of diverse methods and technical performance, the research methodology was the descriptive and analytical method, and the research tool was the indicators that resulted from the theoretical framework in analyzing the research sample.      (Chapter Four) contained the research results and conclusions.. Among the most important results that the research reached: The research sample models showed stylistic diversity in technical performance and the reciprocity of the semantic effect between (the characteristic and the given) stylistic, in accordance with the nature of visual and subjective perception, which characterized the artist’s experience (Kamel Sheikh) .. Among the conclusions reached by the study: The artistic method in forming the artistic achievement was based on the characteristic of thought and psychological significance, and the creation of solutions to the topics to be drawn.. The research ends with a set of recommendations and proposals and then a list of sources.
