The current research dealt with exploratory thinking and its relationship to the skills of analysis and art criticism among students of the Department of Art Education - College of Fine Arts - University of Babylon. The research consisted of four chapters, as the first chapter included the research problem which revolved around the following question: What is the relationship of investigative thinking to the skills of analysis and art criticism among students of the Department of Art Education - College of Fine Arts - University of Babylon ? The importance and necessity of the research were then discussed, followed by its objective. The boundaries (thematic, spatial, and temporal) were defined, along with definitions of the terms used in the research title and operational definitions. The second chapter comprised two sections. In the first section, the researcher addressed the concept of art criticism. The second section discusses the relationship between exploratory thinking and the development of analytical and critical art skills among students in the Department of Art Education. The chapter concludes with the indicators resulting from the theoretical framework. The third chapter is dedicated to the research procedures, the research population, the research sample, and the research tool. The fourth chapter contains the results reached by the researcher. This chapter also includes the conclusions, recommendations, and suggestions, and concludes with a list of sources and references.
