The Aesthetics of Tree Painting in the Artworks of Jana and Jess

Abstract

Research Summary:

        The research entitled “The Aesthetics of Tree Painting in the Works of Artists Jana and Jass” addressed the concept of aesthetics and its reflection in art, as well as its influence on artists in examples of contemporary painting limited to the works of artists Jana and Jass. It consisted of four chapters: The first chapter focused on the methodological framework of the research, represented by the research problem that highlighted the aesthetics of tree painting, its mechanisms, and the materials used to implement modern techniques on it, and its relationship to the artist, his nature, his psychological states, and his environment. It also examined the aesthetic treatments he used and the ways he enhanced his art on trees, taking advantage of the tree trunk, its cracks, and its shape. The research problem was summarized as follows: What are the aesthetics of tree painting in the works of artists (Jana and Jass)? The research objective also included: Identifying the aesthetics of painting on trees in the works of artists (Jana and Jass). The scope of the research was limited to studying the products of the art of painting on trees, executed using different methods, techniques, and materials. The second chapter contained two sections. The first was “An Introduction to the Concept of Aesthetics,” which explains the intellectual and philosophical propositions of aesthetic theory, the reflections of beauty on art, and the ways in which they are interrelated. The second section, “Painting Trees Intellectually and Structurally,” focuses on ways of approaching the form of trees throughout history and in different civilizations, as well as presenting the experiences of artists (Jana and Jass). The third chapter deals with the research procedures, including the research community and the available artistic models. The research community included 32 works of art, from which three models were selected. The research relied on the indicators resulting from the theoretical framework as criteria for analyzing the research sample, by analyzing models of the artists' works.
