Therefore, the importance of studying the research to shed light on the performance of the theatrical actor came after the developments that took place in the diagnosis of the nature of mental illnesses in the twenty-first century and identified by the American Association for Mental Disorders in 2013, which were embodied in ten mental disabilities that can affect the personality when conditions are available to help They appear. The topic (Mental Disability) was embodied to know the extent of the theater actor’s influence on the recipient through his participation in playing the roles of characters with (Mental Disability) and helping him to analyze and diagnose her disability and how to face it. In addition, the researcher came up with the term (mental disability) due to her belief in the close relationship between (the actor) and (psychology), which is the only primary means that the mental disability theater should refer to. And take advantage of the developments agreed upon by the American Association for Mental Disorders in personality analysis. Which takes the actor to reach in the performance honesty of the character, which gives the theatrical work a theatrical speech (text) in theory and (an offer) applied in which all elements correspond to the theatrical presentation in a balanced rhythmic manner, which gives the Iraqi recipient a new knowledge system for his artistic taste, which then affects his behavior and mechanism His thinking, the nature of his confrontation and his treatment of such impairments that he may face in the home, the street, the workplace and other places that are remarkably crowded in our Arab societies.
