Abstract

Research Summary :

The research dealt with the topic of (letter formation and its relationship to the structure of composition in Islamic photography), where the first chapter contained the problem of the research, its importance, the nature of its goals, its limits, and the definition of its terminology. The research raises a question and defines the problem: What are the letter formations and their relationships in the structure of the artistic and aesthetic composition of Islamic photography?

The second chapter included two sections, the first: letter formations in Islamic arts. The second dealt with the compositional structure as well as the composition in the artistic work 

The third chapter also contained the research procedures, including: the research population, the sample, and the nature of the method within it, and then the analysis of the sample, which amounted to (4) samples. As for the fourth chapter, it contained the research results, conclusions, recommendations, proposals, and among the most important results.

As for the most important conclusions:

  1. The letter artists in question were influenced by the Arab-Islamic heritage, and this was reflected in their artistic works, through their use of Arabic letters and their formations with a philosophical and spiritual reading, and with expressive connotations with cultural, religious and social symbols.

The most important conclusions

  1. The Muslim artist chose for the plastic flow in his works to be entrusted to the flows of the letter, as it is essential and includes an overwhelming presence in most artistic works, as the artist’s interest was focused on the letter as a moral key to the artistic work.

As well as recommendations, suggestions, and a summary in English, as well as a list of sources.
